Long Time No Blog; The Liberals Implode, Hurrah

It's been far too long since I've blogged - it's been a busy few months....

However, I had to return to revel in the deliciousness of the Federal Liberal Party's current implosion. Thanks for handing the election to us, losers!

Also, how is this for a bit of total grossness??

See this article:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/12/03/2760367.htm

Pay close attention to this line -

Mr Abbott defended his new deputy during their joint press conference on Tuesday, declaring "She's a loyal girl!" and patting her.

The horror. How condesending. How inappropriate. How hilarious.

What more can one expect from a white, middle class, religious, pro life, climate change denier??

At least we can feel pretty certain that the Libs will be kissing goodbye the votes of doctors wives....

i'm losing more and more faith in the political system each day

First i loathed Howard
Now i loathe Rudd

throughout all this there was one consistency
I FUCKING HATE TONY ABBOTT

this leads to so many questions that will never be answered:
1. why would half the libs support him?
2. who would want to be leader of the libs right now anyway? they don't stand much chance at the next election regardless of who the leader is. Whoever wants the leadership should have waited til after the next election
(although, the ETS in its current format is wrong- Rudd purely wanted a trophy at Copenhagen)
3. what's with Julie Bishop? i figure abbott is only keeping her there because she is a woman - kinda like the Mccain/Palin ticket

my uncle used to work with Turnball back in the day. he says he was the kind of manager that demanded rather than encouraged, always thought he was right and was an extremely aggressive businesman
i figure the difference is that as leader of the libs, he wasn't really in management, so he can't really order people round so much a decide the opinions of the group

but fuck. i'm going to have to vote for Rudd, even though i strongly dislike him... painful
